What is a Personal Assistant?

A Personal Assistant (PA) is a commonly used term to describe someone who is employed directly by a disabled person to provide the help they need to live independently. It shouldn't be confused with the type of PA employed by a business executive.

Why is the ILA involved?

The ILA supports its customers during the process of advertising for Personal Assistants to enable them to recruit effectively and safely.

Our customers are the direct employers and the ILA is not a recruitment agency
