The West Sussex Direct Payments Scheme helps disabled people employ their own personal (care) assistants to give them more independence. We offer advice on good practice and advertising for recruitment. When we receive your application form we will forward it directly to the employer who will decide on those they wish to contact for interview.
We are committed to the protection of people who may be vulnerable. Therefore we have enclosed a standard leaflet on safeguarding, which we ask you to read and keep. We send this leaflet to all applicants for every PA job.
If you wish to discuss the potential impact of any previous convictions on your application, you can telephone 01903 219482 to speak, in confidence, to the advisor who is assisting the employer with recruitment.
