I have been involved with the ILA since its inception and after 11 years as chairman of the board I feel strongly it is time for some new blood with new ideas to take the organisation through its next exciting phase of development.

I have decided to remain a trustee as I have been using Direct Payments since the scheme began  and really believe that the support service should be run by the people that use it.  As chairman and as a Direct Payment employer I have learned a lot and I feel I have some of the key skills that the role of trustee demands so I plan to continue to put them to good use.
