I had been involved with the ILA for two years as a volunteer advocate and became interested in developments in the ILA and wanted to become more involved.  I worked for over 30 years within social care services and felt that my experience and knowledge gained from being both a social worker and manager particularly in services for people with disabilities and more recently as an advocate would enable me to contribute to the important work that the ILA is doing.  I have been a Trustee for about eighteen months and I am currently a volunteer supporter with the ILA’s Volunteer Supporter Scheme.
